Plugin para WP: Widgetized Democracy
EDIT 22-01-2006: La última versión de este plugin resuelve el problema que afectaba al pagerank, y además integra el tema del widget, por lo que mi plugin es innecesario.
EDIT 18-09-2006: Se ha detectado un fallo en el plugin Democracy que puede afectar seriamente al pagerank de tu web en google. Más información en Mangas Verdes.
Sé que no es gran cosa, pero este es mi primer plugin para WP. Se trata más bien de un mini plugin que permite usar el plugin de encuestas Democracy, de Andrew Shuterland, como si fuera un widget. Permite configurar además el título que mostrará el widget.
Lo más interesante es que os puede servir de referencia para adaptar cualquier plugin similar como widget.
Para que funcione, debeis tener instalado el plugin Democracy.
Instrucciones:
- Instala y activa Democracy siguiendo las instrucciones de Andrew Shuterland
- Sube el archivo democratwidget.php a tu directorio de plugins y actívalo desde el gestor de plugins
- Configura la posición del widget desde Presentación - Sidebar Widgets

I know this is not the Ultimate Plugin, but, well, it is my first plugin for WP. In fact it is rather a mini-plugin to use Andrew Shuterland's Democracy plugin as a widget. It also allows to set up the text to be shown before the widget from the Sidebar Widgets arrangement page.
The most interesting thing about this is you can use it as a reference to widgitize any other similar plugin.
To make it work, you must have installed Democracy.
Instructions:
- Install and activate Democracy following the instructions given by Andrew Shuterland
- Upload the file democratwidget.php to your plugin directory and activate it at the plugin manager
- Set up the position of the widget at Presentation - Sidebar Widgets

I have the widget running on my sidebar, but when I click ‘vote,’ I get a “page cannot be found” error. What’s wrong with it?

My “mini-plugin” is just a mere interface to place the Democracy Plugin at the sidebar widgets section. You’d better ask directly to Andrew Shuterland. The address of his blog is included in the post above.

Pues por lo que he estado probando, el plugin Democracy sólo permite una encuesta activa, y por desgracia eso no depende de mi, sino de Andrew Shuterland.
Por cierto, me apunto tu blog, me gusta la temática.

Gracias por el widget, lo utilicé para lapagina y además, lo modifiqué para usarlo con el ajax shoutbox también de Andrew Shuterland. Ya está jalando en http://laotramx.org

Pues cuidado con el plugin, tiene una vulnerabilidad que puede afectar a tu pagerank seriamente.
